Business domain model (class model) is the most important, central part of the analysis, and a starting point for technical design. Effort spent on preparing good business domain model is never a waste of time. However, we have to admit that creating correct and smart domain models requires a lot of experience and intuition. Therefore we dedicate the whole 2-day training to thios important subject. Participants of this course learn business domain model rules and techniques by creating their own models for practical cases. They also analyze, how various modelling techniques fit for certain business assumptions.

The training is for:

• analysts and designers familiar with UML, who want to learn advanced techniques of modelling business domains,
• business (non-IT) specialists who want to create professional business domain models by themselves.

Prerequisites:

• knowledge of UML class diagrams notation,
• prior participation in the training "Introduction to modelling in UML" is recommended.

By the end of the training participants will have learned:

• how to use advanced analysis techniques used in business domain modelling,
• how to use UML class diagram notation and understand results of using variusz patterns and techniques,
• how to apply correct modelling patterns and techniques in varoius circumstances.

Training duration: 2 days.

Methodology: lectures and exercises. Most of the time is spent on doing exercises and their discussion. Trainees actively participate in the training.

2. Inheritance.
3. Role modelling.

Day 2.

1. Global registries (databases) of objects.
2. Document modelling.
3. Object history modelling.
