Business Process Modeling in BPMN

BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) is the most popular graphical notation for modeling business processes. Participants of the training learn how to create various kinds of BPMN diagrams. During practical exercises, participants create BPMN diagrams and learn to use proven patterns and best practices in order to accurately represent business world.

Methodology

Lectures and exercises. Most of the time is spent on doing exercises and their discussion. Trainees actively participate in the training.

Training outline:

Day 1.

  1. Business process Management - introduction.
  2. Techniques of business process analysis and modeling.
  3. Basic BPMN notation: tasks, gateways, events.

Day 2.

  1. Dealing with exceptions in business processes.
  2. Subprocesses.
  3. Transactions.

Day 3.

  1. Cooperation between process participants, exchange of messages.
  2. Choreography diagrams.
  3. Conversation diagrams.
