Preparation to OMG Certified UML Professional 2 (OCUP2) exam

The OMG Certified UML Professional 2 (OCUP2) certificates, issued by Object Management Group, the organisation responsible for the development of the UML standard, is recognised and valued in IT world. The training prepares participants for the OCUP2 exam at Foundation level. Participants learn about the material covered on the exam, analyse UML constructs and sample UML models, discuss typical exam pitfalls and nuances, and answer sample questions similar to real exam questions.

The training is delivered by a lecturer who is OCUP2 certified at the Advanced level. The training price does not include the exam fee.

The training is for:

  • IT architects, analysis and designers,
  • people who wish to pass the OMG Certified UML Professional 2 exam at the Foundation level.

Prerequisites

  • knowledge of UML notation,
  • prior participation in the training "Modeling in UML" is recommended,
  • good command of English (the OCUP2 exam is taken in English).

Methodology

Lectures, discussions, exercises. Answering sample questions similar to exam questions. Participants are actively involved in the course.

By the end of the training participants will have learned:

  • know UML topics covered by the OCUP2 Foundation syllabus,
  • pass OCUP2 Foundation exam with a positive grade.

  • OCUP2 Foundation exam - introduction.
  • Why do we model? Objectives of modelling.
  • UML metamodel and basic structures.
  • Activity diagrams.

Day 2.

  • Use case diagrams.
  • Class diagrams.
  • State-machine diagrams.

Day 3.

  • Sequence diagrams.
  • Object diagrams.
  • Package diagrams.
